Birthday Party Day

I am wipped out! We started the day with Kayden coming in and waking me up at 6:30 and asking, 'Mom do you have something to say to me?' I had to sing him Happy Birthday. Then I snuggled in with him and slept til 8! Then we got ready for his first birthday party. He invited 4 friends over for a pool party. Well, 6 kids under 5 was a lot of fun, thankfully only for an hour though. We enjoyed water balloons, water guns, sidewalk chalk, popsicles, Spiderman Spiderman Hulk (it was a superhero theme so this was instead of Duck Duck Goose)! It was a lot of fun. Kayden has wonderful friends already.

Trace, Elijah Harker, Kennedy Coffin (watch out Kayden is planning on marrying her) Kayden, Joseph Williams, and Enock Coffin.

Next we came inside for a quick lunch and headed to Kung Fu Panda where we met the favorite Aunt Shan and Uncle Jed aka Shed. I am not a Jack Black fan so I wasn't really expecting much. I really liked it, probably cause I didn't have to actually look at him, but the humor was great. And of course my boys loved it and are now dreaming of flying and kicking and beating the bad guys!

We came home for a BBQ (which was only half of one due to the power outage) and bubbles and presents! Love the cheeks Trace

Kayden's been wanting a skooter since last summer so he was thrilled with this present!
And of course, the day wouldn't be complete without a spiderman cake (well my lamo attempt at it anyway) and homemade ice cream! Yummy!! Thanks everyone for a wonderful day, we love you Kayden!
