Just when I was getting used to having Kayden gone all day (ok not really-2 weeks later and still by about 1 I'm getting anxious) I have to start another routine over. I kind of wish Trace could just go 1 day a week, I know he loves it and will learn so much but we were having a lot of fun together. Anyway, Trace was super excited to start Smarty Pants Preschool yesterday.
Kayden was very proud of him and was telling him all about next year already when they get to go to the same school together.
We had bought new school shoes about 3 weeks ago. Trace had put them under his bed and looked at them every day since, just waiting. This morning he was sitting on his bed staring at them, so excited to put them on!! Right after school he ran upstairs and put them right back under his bed to 'keep them safe.' He already knows all his letters and letter sounds, can write his name and we've started on site words the and and. He is my child that will go into his room and lay on his bed and look/read a book or just day dream. He is content to be on his own which is very unique for my kids.
He totally scored-there's only 1 other boy in the class! His nametag, place mat and homework star were all green which is his favorite color so it made his day. So 3 days a week (well 2 I have Kindermusik one day) Brooks and I will be walking the neighborhoods in the morning, all alone. Maybe Walmart-with only 1 child? WOW
