Mad Scientist

One of our favorite things to do is science experiments. We have checked out a books from the library for some good ideas, we've looked online, and even tried a few on our own. This one was really cool, it was some mixture of alcohol, oil, and water and the oil bubbles would float! This was cornstarch and water. We played with this mess for a LONG time then had to get it back out when daddy came home. It runs through your hands like liquid but sets up like a solid.
This was Kayden's creation. It took him 2 days and 3 rolls of tape. It's Iron Man!

We've also tried home made ice cream in a bag-lots of shaking and crazy dancing going on! We tried a little concoction of chocolate/cocoa in milk to see how much it would take to make chocolate milk. The boys even blindfolded daddy and made him drink it... he was VERY nervous about drinking a science experiment. We've tried seeing how long it takes to freeze water into ice, then melt the ice into water (put it in a bowl first). We've played with glass jars and different amounts of water to make different musical notes. All sorts of fun things!
