It seems like taking swimming lessons is just a part of summer. This year we are lucky enough to have my good friend Nancy be the official swimming teacher. We travel up to Alpine a few times a week to her parents home. It's a pretty sweet set up with a great swingset and playset for the kids who are 'patiently' waiting their turn. We've had a lot of fun talking to the fish and blowing bubbles getting ready for hopefully a trip to a water park near by sometime this summer.

Kayden has mastered floating. He got so excited after a minute or so he started giggling and it threw off his balance. It was pretty cute.

Trace had one scare where he got off the step and went under. He seemed fine until out of the blue a week later he decided to be totally scared of the water. But a good dose of motor boat go so fast fixed it up just fine.

Brooks is Usually happy in his stroller. Occasionally he likes to wonder around the play ground but he stays away from the pool. He is such a good kid.

Love the goggle eyes!!
I'm thinking of maybe doing a Triatholon sprint but I can't swim. I mean sure I can stay above water but that's different then swimming to actually get somewhere. Nancy would be a great teacher so we'll see what the next few months holds..........

I learned how to swim last year in hopes of a future tri. I was the same way, I could "swim," but not really. I learned to swim with my face in the water and to breathe to the side. Things that are essential: goggles and a swim cap. I don't love it because I think it's so boring to swim for a half an hour, but at least I can do it.
