Christmas Catch up

Trace had a great Christmas. He was hilarious while we opened presents. He took the wrapping paper off and said 'great, I got a box.' Then just giggled cause he knew it was funny. He was so so so excited for everything he opened and more than once we heard a very enthusiastic 'this is just what I wanted!'

Kayden also had a great Christmas. His main gift was a uniform and a year of Tae Kwon Do lessons which started this past week. He won't wrestle with his dad anymore for fear of hurting him, since he knows TKD. He's all smiles in his uniform and we're hoping this helps him learn a little respect and discipline-hehehee.
Chris spent some time on Ebay over the past few weeks finding a great set of 4 lazer tag guns-with goggles. There is a little display screan on the goggles and a speaker and everything. It's been quite funny to watch the boys play and they will Love running through the hills come spring time with them I'm sure.
Overall we had another wonderful Christmas. We headed down to NM and even got a few inches of beautiful snow, 2 different days we were there so we were able to build a snowman-well they ended up calling it Bob the Blob cause it was pretty much a heap of snow but it was still fun. Mom and Dad totally spoiled us with great food, tons of movies, tons of games, a mean game of bowling, a trip to Explor-a (similar to Discovery Gateway here), multiple helpings of all the traditional food and love and love and laughs. We got so comfortable we ended up staying almost 2 weeks! Here are a few of my favs

My big present for the year was tickets to the Bill Cosby show next month in SLC. I grew up watching his show and Love him and am pretty excited for the night on the town! I also spent some time at a running store being filmed and got fitted for the perfect running shoe for me. My dad is a podiatrist and I mentioned who I was-they gave me a 35% discount on the $100 shoes!! (Apparently he sends in a lot of patients so it pays to name drop, yea! ) I know that sounds extreme-but I'm training for the ragnar race in June so I needed some good shoes and I'm happy to report- I LOVE THEM. They really do make a difference.
So now it's back to reality and life. My kids had a hard time coming down off of the Nana and Papa high, they got fudgecicles daily and a host of other spoiling things but hey-it was Christmas right? Hope you all had a great holiday!

Kenna comes to my parents with me once a week and I feel like it takes me the week just to get her back in line. I guess that is the joys of being a grandparent ... spoiling and sending them home :)

So did Chris buy the laser tag game for him and his little boys or for him and the big boys at work....just wondering! I am glad you had fun but we missed you around here!
