Kayden's first tooth!!!
Sunday morning I was enjoying 'sleeping in' when about 7:20am Kayden came into my room, hyperventilating. He couldn't even talk really so I didn't know what was going. Then he opened his mouth and I saw blood. I sat up really quick and eventually figured out he had lost a tooth. He thought the world was ending.
The thing was.....his tooth wasn't loose. He had been trying to open a big plastic bag full of toys that Brooks had gotten the night before for his birthday. He was biting and pulling on it when his tooth 'shot out.' Hmmm where have I heard that before? This time was obviously not so traumatic as last time we had teeth 'shoot out' in our family (Trace on the trampoline 2 years ag0) but you wouldn't know that by Kayden's reaction. We had to assure him for almost an entire day that his other teeth were fine, a new tooth would grow in and the tooth fairy would indeed come. He snuck his tooth to church and went around asking everyone how much their tooth fairy brought to them, just so he'd know what to expect! Silly kid He had a hard time eating anything Sunday, it was all too hard or too crunchy or too cold. He was really worried about it. At one point he put his head in his hands and said 'How do you ever survive without teeth?' It was pretty melodramatic and funny. So the tooth fairy came and Kayden was thrilled the next day to wake up to a whole $1 under his pillow! He quickly did the math and said 'I have $23 dollars in my mouth!'
