I read a great book a few months ago and loved the idea of putting a family motto up on the wall. So our family has been talking about different words and statements and we finally decided on this. We wanted it to be simple and easy to remember so the kids could use it regularly and remember it easily. We each picked a word and it worked out that LOVE is spelled through out these words as well. So our family will Learn, Work, Serve, and Be Grateful each day because we Love each other and the Savior.

We just got family pics done so we surrounded our motto with pics of the family. We will talk about each of these things each night at dinner and use FHE to further study them and how we can be stronger as a family because of these things that bind us together and help identify our family. I'm really happy with how it turned out and have loved the boys excitement over it already. Kayden has the FHE lesson tonight on Learn because that was his word. We worked together for about an hour yesterday on his lesson and I love getting him involved and seeing how much he loves it too.

And this is the finished product!!! I LOVE IT and have already 'ordered' one for my living room. He did such a fabulous job. I could just sit and stare at it. As I was putting things on the shelves yesterday Kayden said "mom you have more decorations that books. I thought you wanted a bookshelf, not a decoration shelf." I thought that was hilarious!! We ended up counting books and decor and I do have more books afterall so it's all good.
