Happy Birthday to Brooks

This has to have been the fastest year of my life. I can remember this wee mans birth like it was last month and it's been a whole year. He was so chunky!!! Look at the rolls of skin and loads of dark hair!! 9 pounds baby!! I loved every ounce of him. Kayden was so sick and small for so long I think I just stressed about him for 3 years, Trace came along so fast and I was so overwhelmed with two little boys I was just trying to survive for a long time. Is it bad to say that I've really enjoyed each stage with Brooks more so than I have in the past. He is such a good little boy and so happy and smiley all the time. He wasn't even 24 hours old and seemed to know exactly who I was already! I loved this moment.

1 year later.... blonde, still a little chunky, 8 teeth, fluent in mama and dada and trying his darndest to walk/run to keep up with the big boys. We had a great birthday party for him with family and friends. The boys picked out a Caterpillar cake to make and it was perfect for demolition.

He was very spoiled with toys and clothes and got LOTS of help from big brothers opening all the goods. I should enjoy this stage of him being too young to care when someone rips something out of his little hands.
