So my neighbor Colleen saved my bacon last week one night when Chris let me know about 6pm that he wouldn't be home until???????? I had a meeting to go to at 7 so I called Colleen and she graciously took the 2 older crazies and the baby came with me. The next morning I asked the boys how it was at their friends house and for the next hour, well almost all day they kept talking about 'anna and the jones who had the coolest slap in the world!' It took me until early afternoon to get that they had played Indiana Jones and he had a cool whip, hahahahahaha.
Last night I was lieing by Kayden in bed and he said 'Mom I have a secret, and it's not bad.' Okay he had my attention. 'Everyday when we go on the carpet squares for reading time, Lexie comes over and puts her head on my shoulders to hug me, and I don't tell her to not do it.'
With the cold weather we've been through our winter clothes and of course Kayden has out grown last years coat so we made the dreaded trip to Walmart Monday afternoon to outfit him in this seasons snow gear. I told him to take good care of his new coat cause if he lost it I wasn't buying a new one.
Today was such a nice day we decided to walk to pick him up from school. His teacher came over to me (usually a bad sign) and said 'So did you tell Kayden you wouldn't buy him another coat if he lost this one?' I was afraid to answer! Was this some kind of social services question? Crap, so I said yes. She said 'Well he won't take it off in class, at all. The last 2 days he's done all the activities and homework in this big bulky coat and today he was sweating, his hair was wet. Can you tell him it's okay to take it off?' oooooooooooooops
Trace is Loving school, maybe cause he's the only boy with 4 cute girls. Each day I pick him up and ask him what he learned he says 'Noffin mom, I learned noffin.'
Oh, and Brooks has 5 teeth!!!!!

Ha ha! Yeah, Jim got Elijah Lego Indiana Jones for his birthday and it was a big hit. We have to have rules about when he can play it (only when Daddy is home) and how long (one level), plus Jim has to be available to play it with him. The boys were having a blast playing, so it was no trouble at all!
I love the coat thing. Kids are so trusting and literal. I hate when teachers ask questions like that.
I can totally see Trace saying that, so funny.
