Lessons learned

Last week I attended the funeral of little Saddie Huish. I learned so much and was so touched by her story and watching her family fight this battle. (their link is on the left of my blog if you want to catch up with their story) It made me realize how truly blessed I am to have 3 healthy, happy boys. I wanted nothing more sitting in that chapel than to run home and hug and kiss my sweet little boys.

So I came home from the funeral, cancelled piano lessons for the day and we played all day. I didn't do dishes, laundry, YW stuff, nothing. We went swimming for a little with some friends over in teh Highlands subdivision. My sis in law had come out to watch the boys during the funeral and made a killer fort downstairs so we played in that. Then we decided to head up the canyon for dinner with my sister's and brother.

We love to camp and havent't been yet this year with the baby being so little but the boys have literally packed bags and then come and asked me to save them for when we go camping. They love it, so we figured a good comprise would be dinner in the mountains so last week we headed up Milcreek canyon for a few hours. It was beautiful and we had a lot of fun.

The boys love to wear their cowboy gettups everywhere! And I think they're pretty stinkin cute so I don't mind. We got home late and decided to sleep in the fort. My hubby thought I was crazy but it was so fun and I hope to have many, many more days of playing and loving and appreciating my kids more.

I sure love those crazy kids...I can't wait to see what Brooks will be like. I am sure he will be a contributing member of the popcorn disaster club soon enough. Love ya, Wendy
