If one more person.....

pats my belly, I think I might just pat their belly back. Really, what is it about perfect strangers and a pregnant belly? Why do they think they can cross the personal space boundary and touch my belly? Wal-mart, Costco, serious. Especially living in Utah County do people not see enough pregnant women already?
Church is one thing, I don't like it but at least most of us have been pregnant and so we have that in common, and at least some what know each other. But at work yesterday an attorney came up and patted my belly, what? Then she asked what I was having, I told her it will be my 3rd boy. She got this really sad look on her face and said "I'm so sorry, now you have to try again?" She was so sincere and really felt bad for me, I kind of just laughed and said, 'I'm not sure, we like our boys just fine.'

LOL ya, i like to pat my FRIENDS' pregnant bellies, but only after asking. Never a stranger. I wouldn't put up with it! Have a name picked out yet? When are you due?

I laughed as I read your post! I remember feeling the same way when I was preggers 28 (did I say that?) Yes, 28 years ago! Some things never change! But, then again, you LOOK so darn cute, so how can everyone resist the urge to pat? Loves, LaVon

Ugh, I managed to avoid that when I was pregnant with Elijah. I don't know if I just managed to exude an air of open hostility towards people invading my personal space or what. :)

So true! I hate it when people pat the prego bellies...I don't even like family to do it.

I don't think I ever had a stranger pat my belly. I'm pretty sure I looked like I was unstable, so I didn't invite interaction.

Ha Ha to Jen's comment. I don't think many people touched me either. You must have a nicer aura than we do. I've so been there. People give me this sad sad look when I tell them I'll be lucky to survive the three girls I've already borne.
