One of my fav finds for the boys were these cute aprons. We do a lot of crafts and play-do and things and it always finds its way all over them so I was excited about these $5 aprons! Trace was pretty excited about his wightsaboo, he even got two! (I had hoped that Kayden would as for one too! oh well)
Another wonderful surprise was being able to talk to my brother on his mission. We each got 1 minute, seriously we were off the phone under 5 minutes but it was still great to hear his voice.
Kayden was beside himself with the spiderman clothes (he won't let you call it a costume cause it's the real thing) and has only taken it off for church. Seriously, he wore it out to the movies and lunch yesterday. I think I may have to wash it while he sleeps one night. Luckily a friend of mine gave me an old costume for Trace that barely fits but they're having a blast webbing all the bad guys together! We've loved playing Hungry, Hungry Hippo together, watching our new movies Kungfu Panda and Horton Hears a Who, reading over and over again the close to 15 new books they got and taking in all the wonderful family time. It really has been a wonderful holiday.
That night we headed to Chris's parents for a wonderful family meal and more presents. To sum it up, there are 7 grandsons under 9, and one sweet little granddaughter only a few weeks old. So, needless to say there was a lot of jumping, yelling, wrestling, trucks, and great gifts. Chris's mom Sherilee is an a-m-a-z-i-n-g seamstress and she made each of them personal church bags with their names on it. We tried them out today and were pleasently surprised to say they work! Maybe that's our Christmas miracle right there. They also got cute school desks and are working very hard already to 'get smart.'
Possibly my favorite moment of the day. I think Trace had a good day!
