I just have to write down some of the things my 31/2 year old says. I'm sure all 3 year olds are witty, but I especially enjoy hearing how his little mind works. I'll update it as needed. Here is the latest:
*Kayden had an ear infection and cold this week. He didn't want to take his medicine so I asked him how it was going to get better if he didn't take his medicine. He said "My daddy will come home from work and fix it with his amazing tools." I'm so glad his dad is his hero and can do anything.
*We were at the dinner table and Kayden was showing us how he knew how to count to 10. Chris said "That's great Kayden, can you count any higher?" Kayden said 'Sure.' So he climbs up on top of the table, stands on his tip toes and counts to 10. He sits down so proud and says "See, I counted higher Dad."
* We went to get his haircut a few days ago and the line was over and hour long so we put our name down and left. He was pretty bummed we couldn't stay and said 'That sucks.' I need to throw in here that I've been warning his dad for almost 3 years now to stop saying that very thing because the day would come where our kids would repeat it. So of course Chris got a very, should we say strong look from me. I bent down and said, 'Kayden honey that's a potty word and we don't say that okay. You can say darn it if you want.' He said, 'Okay mom, Darn it that sucks.' I stood up and laughed all the way home.
* We are to the point that all parents get to when it is necessary to spell some words out when the kids are around. Kayden has begun to learn his letters and the other day I made him mad so he stormed off and said, 'Fine, I'll just K R S M E N then!'
