Happy Birthday Brooks!

I can not believe my little man is 2 years old! The time has flown by. Brooks is in a great stage. He seems to pick up more words each day and is getting much better at expressing himself. If he can't find the word, or if I don't understand what he's trying to say he will take my hand and say 'mon' for Come On and lead me to what he wants. We started his birthday off with a big pancake breakfast and balloons and streamers from the big brothers.
We opened presents and couldn't get him to stop moving! He got a guitar and a microphone and the dancing hasn't stopped since. He loves them, loves to sing and jump and boogie to all the music and sounds.
He also got this cool water table. We had planned of course to play with it outside......then it snowed and snowed and rained and rained all day so it's all set up in the kitchen. Here's to the day we can put it out on the porch!
One of his favorite things is trains. He LOVES 'chews chews' and usually gets about 30 minutes of Thomas in each day while I'm on the treadmill. He can name Thomas, James, Harold the helicopter and Percy. His favorite is Percy and he says it so cute! This is him with his wonderful pudgy lips blowing out the candles.

We headed to lunch at Arctic Circle.....mainly because of the snow outside and we wanted a place to run around for a bit. Also he loves cheeseburgers just like his older brother Trace and he finished his off no problem!

Brooks is such a wonderful little boy. Don't get me wrong he can throw a fit like the rest of them BUT he is generally very happy. He loves to dance and move and jump and climb. I've found him on top of the fridge, the dryer, in the sinks multiple times, locked in the car with the keys inside it for almost an hour one day, hiding in my closet to the point of me thinking he had truly escaped. He has no fear, partly I think from watching his brothers barrel down the street on bikes, scooters or anything with wheels. He wants to be just like them and thinks he is old enough to do whatever they do, which is our daily challenge it seems. He sits on the potty a few times a day, for about 3 seconds but INSISTS on it when it's time for potty. He always makes us laugh with his funny faces and excitment for life. WE love you Brooks!
