Cooties

Yep, we're already starting this conversation. Last week Kayden came home from school with a number written down, a phone number, a girl's phone number!! Are you kidding me.... I thought I had at least 15 years before that happened. Okay not 15 years but seriously.

He was all excited to call 'Ellie.' The story goes that she gave him her number and asked him to call her and he had nothing to do with it. Not sure if that is the total truth but what do I do about it.

So the dinner conversation went something like this...

Me: That's great to have friends that are girls, just don't let them kiss you.
K: Why, you and dad kiss.
Me: Yes but we're married. If you kiss before you are married you get cooties.
K: What are cooties?
Me: There gross little bugs that crawl all over you.
K: How come I can't see them?
Me: Cause only girls have them but you can get them if you kiss them.
K: Well I've kissed a girl and I don't feel them crawling on me.
Side note: At this point Chris left the table to get a drink and was laughing the whole time, not giving me any help at all.
Me: Oh, who have you kissed?
K: Kennedy Coffin
Me: Well, you probably have cooties then.
K: Well, what happens to the cooties when you get married then?
Me: ummmmmmmmmm Heavenly Father takes them away in the temple.
K: Oh, well I don't know if I believe you. Girls seem fine to me.

Crap, it didn't work. Fast forward to this morning and we were talking about Esther-the boys had watched the little scripture movie about it yesterday. K was saying how he thought she was pretty and would like to marry a woman (yes he said woman) like her. Trace, bless his sweet heart said 'I don't want to marry a woman and get booties all over me.' hahahahahahaha I just had to laugh! At least someone is scared of girls now! 1 out of 3 isn't bad right? Ugh
